Consensus Achieved on Round-Table Conference for Economic & Trade Cooperation along the “Belt and Road” and Green Development of Carpet Industry
I. Enhance communication and negotiation to jointly build an open platform. In order to promote the construction of “Silk Road Economic Belt”, bilateral governments and business circles shall bring their functions into practice. Government sectors concerned of countries and regions shall intensify the communication and coordination on industrial planning and policy, so as to reach further consensus, innovate in collaborative model and strengthen the cooperation among enterprises. During the China (Qinghai) International Carpet Exhibition, multiple activities involving Round-Table Conference on Economic & Trade Cooperation and Industrial Development Forum are scheduled at fixed period, building the platform for further and broader cooperation and communication.
II. Expand cooperation field and deepen pragmatic cooperation. Fully exploit the complementary advantages owned by industries in various countries and regions, vigorously expand cooperation on such fields as environmental protection, infrastructure construction, new energy, light textile, product processing and modern service industry, and dynamically combine cargo trade with diverse collaborative models including service trade, labor service cooperation and bilateral investment. Communication on such aspects as development planning shall be conducted between government and its sectors, so as to build the cooperation framework, and seek for the general equilibrium and sustainable development of the bilateral trading tie.
III. Strengthen trade services and promote industrial cooperation. Related departments of the government in trade promoting government services should actively promote trade and investment facilitation, while trade associations should play the role as a bridge and of service function, so as to actively promote bilateral and multilateral industrial cooperation and create favorable conditions for mutual benefit and win-win results, through a series of activities such as strengthening information exchange, holding exhibitions, and organizing entrepreneurs for mutual investigation.
IV. Strengthen cultural and educational exchanges and deepen mutual understanding. In order to establish a multilevel cultural exchanges and cooperation system, government departments of all countries and regions should vigorously support exchanges and cooperation in culture, science and technology, education, tourism and other fields within bilateral and multilateral frameworks, encourage extensive activities such as cultural exchanges, academic exchanges, talent exchange, and tourism development and cooperation, as well as deepen mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples, so as to lay a social foundation for further cooperation between the two sides.
